Who we are

Spacegap (Pty) Ltd trading as Spacegap Mining, established in 2015, Level 1 B-BBEE Contributor with 100 % Black Ownership, an ever-growing entity in the electrical industry, our imminent success comes from a span of dedicating to client’s needs using our specialized equipment and services. Our company supplies, repairs and refurbishes transformers, motors and other electrical components.

Mission

Our Mission – Reducing our clients downtime relating to electrical issues in a transient way, which will in turn increase productivity and lead to more revenue.

Thermal Imaging

We make use of our infrared scanners to identify faulty electrical components so they can be singled out for repairs or maintenance.

What is Thermal Imaging?

Uses a thermal imaging camera to detect high levels of heat emitted in the form of infrared radiation. The camera can also identify cold spots that should be hot, which could indicate an electrical fault.

Benefits of thermal imaging:

Is that the electrical device would not be required to be removed off site since it can be used during normal operating hours unless it’s a total breakdown.
Results are available in real-time
It can detect conditions and defects before they become serious problems
Large electrical cabinets and whole electrical installations can be quickly scanned.
The exact location of the potential problematic point can be easily determined

MOBILE TOWER LIGHT

We also have mobile tower lights which we hire out. These can either be used for roadside maintenance, railway repair, construction and maintenance. Equipped with metal halide lights, four times more powerful than tungsten halogen bulbs, tower lights provide strong lighting over a wide area. These mobile tower lights come with a built-in generator and runs on diesel. Tower lights need to comply with noise regulations, our tower lights operate at 88Lwa/65DBa making this unit completely suited to city centre construction sites, or even public events or festivals.
